Position Summary:
Summary
The Predictive Maintenance Technician is responsible for Predictive Maintenance activities in support of site and production operations. The PdM tech performs Predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, oil analysis, and motor circuit testing in developing a robust program to:
• Alignment and Dynamic Balancing rotating equipment.
• Change out rotating equipment, align and perform baseline vibration.
• Troubleshoot vibration problems.
• Perform infrared survey on mechanical, electrical or process equipment.
• Perform tribology on equipment lubrication.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Coordinate PdM data collection and analysis activities for maintenance, operation and/or design of the physical plant and equipment used in the production and support of chemicals and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Identify equipment that would benefit from PdM technologies.
• Monitor and review collected PdM data.
• Coordinate root cause analysis.
• Participate in evaluation of analyses and make recommendations relative to findings regarding maintenance, operating or design activities.
• Maintain communication with all resources associated with PdM activities.
• Support activities to ensure timely, effective and efficient delivery of service to customer.
• Responsible for use and maintenance of systems used to monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement of new inventories.
• Supports Predictive Maintenance activities by soliciting and planning future work projects with site customers.
• Responsible for actively supporting and monitoring the safety program on site.
Preferred educational background:
Minimum of high school diploma with additional training in area of expertise.
Higher education in engineering-related discipline is desirable.
4-6 years’ experience in a Predictive Maintenance environment. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
